Weigh-ins

I keep teeter-tottering back and forth with my conviction to lose weight and to take better care of my body.

I've missed posting several weigh-ins b/c other things have taken priority over blogging as of late.

Two weeks in a row I was at 153. :) I was pleased with that. The next week after that, I had gone up. But I'm not sure whether to count that weigh-in since it didn't happen on the normal Thursday morning, and I'll take any excuse that might account for the difference in weight! :)

Then last week we were in VIRGINIA (Hopefully I can share on that in a later post) and I have been told by several people not to weigh-in on a different scale. So, I didn't. (In case you can't tell - that's totally an excuse. I am dreading weighing in again.) We'll see what this week holds....

Why is it so hard for me to care? Some days I REALLY wanna lose weight and just be all around healthier, and other days all I can think about is how yummy curly fries from Arby's would be!

Do any of you ladies have tricks to keep you motivated in your weight loss or your striving to become a more well-balanced individual?

I'm sorry Magen. I don't have any tips. I am the same as you and my emotions about losing weight vary widely from day to day! The only motivation I have had in the past is actually losing some weight and then remembering what I looked and felt like to keep me going.

One thing I like to do is have all the fruits and veggies on hand that I love. Celery, artichokes, zuchini, olives, oranges, nuts are good too. Then, don't buy anymore candy or chips or junk. This way you'll have to snack on the yummy healthy food you have. If you need that sweet fix, I'll chew a piece of fruity gum after dinner. Nathan and I have been going on walks every night after dinner and that's really good exercise and you get a lot of talking time to catch up on things

I am totally the same on the emotional teeter-totter when it comes to losing weight. One thing I have noticed is that after I work out I really feel like eating more healthy.

mmmm...curly fries! :) j/k, j/k! :) I haven't felt too motivated lately...except the other day when i went shopping and tried clothes on and looked really fat in the dressing room mirror, that was motivation, but not in a good way, it just made me want to never eat again!
