He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, but he who pursues worthless things lacks sense.
-Proverbs 12:11
I have 18 things on my to-do list today. All of these things have worth:
- Having a quiet time
- Cleaning my kitchen floor
- Planning meals
Everything in its place, right? I'm focusing first on the Lord, then on being a good steward of the things He has given to Micah and I by keeping up on house work, and being frugal in what we spend, even at the grocery store. They're all good things.
But, I was struck today with the fact that, if I don't seek the Lord, and His will for my day - then I won't know which things HE considers to be "of worth."

What a convicting and challenging thought, Magen. Thank you!
What a good reminder! Thanks!
Good reminder Magen! I definitely need to make sure I do this every day. Like talk to God in the morning before even getting out of bed, which I totally have not been doing! Usually I have my quiet time in the afternoon when Ada is taking her nap and Hayley is having quiet time. But it would be good to continually seek his guidance throughout the day for sure. Thanks for sharing!
